We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to discover us a reliable expert for our repair job. We joined and advertised our project details, but unfortunately, we were left in the lurch.

It all starts with their sneaky charges, which they hide in the small stuff. Then, there's the terrible helpline that's about as incompetent as a chocolate teapot. You can try to raise an issue, but it's like talking to a wall.

Right away, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to talk about the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up getting ripped off by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's helpline was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling angry and warn everyone against using them for your tradesman needs.

My experience with Checkatrade was a complete shambles. I booked a trader through their platform to carry out some crucial home repairs. They appeared trustworthy at first, but it turned out a appalling ordeal.

Even though I sent the full amount upfront, the work never started. Contact ceased. It's been weeks, and I'm still left with a house in disarray.

Checkatrade has been useless throughout this whole process. They laughed at my plight. It feels like I've been taken advantage of.
